The San Diego County Board of Supervisors has accredited a rental program to assist low-income adults ages 55 and older to pay lease.

The Shallow Rental Subsidy Program will present $500 a month in rental help to 220 senior households chosen by lottery, in hopes bettering housing stability.

The 18-month pilot program launched final spring with greater than 2,000 candidates, in keeping with officers.
