 A Port of San Diego challenge to enhance and replace landscaping alongside elements of North Harbor Drive throughout from San Diego Worldwide Airport is about to start early subsequent month, officers introduced Tuesday.

The $1.4 million challenge is scheduled to start in February and be accomplished by August 2024.

The challenge will use the port’s Financial Restoration Program Appropriation funds. Native firm Costa Azul Contracting Group will full the work.

In response to the port, the brand new landscaping can be made up of mulch, cobblestone, boulders and topsoil. Round 78,000 sq. toes of current vegetation can be eliminated.

Throughout development, as much as 20 parking stalls can be quickly unavailable to permit for staff to stage gear and provide. Section one will occupy as much as 20 stalls on the northern fringe of the parking zone east of Lee Court docket.
